Dowling & O'Neil Staff Members Hold
Leadership Positions with the Cape Cod Chapter
of Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women
(MAIW)

Dowling and O’Neil Insurance Agency is proud to announce its leadership involvement with the Cape Cod Chapter of Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women (MAIW). Carol Closson is serving as Assistant Director; Barbara Riggs as Secretary; Martha Kenney as Membership Chairperson; and Bobbi Haskell as Safety Chairperson. Officers and board members were appointed in May 2010, and their duties start in September 2010.

Carol Closson has been in the Personal Lines Department at Dowling and O’Neil since 2008. She has been in the insurance industry since 1999. A Licensed Broker, Carol also received the designation of Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR).

Barbara Riggs has been in the Personal Lines Department at Dowling and O’Neil since 1996. She has been in the insurance industry since 1976. Barbara is one of two Personal Lines Directors at Dowling and O’Neil who manages a department of 7 employees. A Licensed Broker, Barbara also received the designation of Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

Martha Kenney has been with Dowling and O’Neil since 1990, starting her career in the Personal Lines Department. She is a licensed producer with the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations, and is a Commercial Lines customer service representative.  

Bobbi Haskell joined Dowling and O’Neil in 2005 from the banking industry. She began in D&O’s Processing Department and moved her way to a Customer Service Representative in the Personal Lines Department.

Dowling and O’Neil has always been proud of its commitment to continuing education of staff members as well as the staff’s participation in civic organizations.

Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women, Inc., is an active participant in the state’s insurance laws, promoting professionalism and educational opportunities in the insurance industry and is a great communication networking organization for insurance women in the area.
